Small but Terrible SRF Inductors!

News about SRF Inductors? Here’s what Coilcraft could offer.
First off, let’s know what SRF means. SRF or Self-Resonant Frequency, the frequency corresponding to the wire being used in an inductor being a half-wave long. It is also the lowest frequency at which an inductor resonates with its self-capacitance. Here’s how to solve SRF:

Now that we know what's SRF, let's go to Coilcraft's newest Shielded High SRF Inductors, the 1812PS.

This tiny piece of component has just what it takes to called, "Small but Terrible". 1812PS has a higher SRF, high inductance with tight tolerance, and has an excellent current handling for a part this size. Mean right? That's just not it. Though this one's small, it has a ceramic/ferrite core material, and has RoHS complaint silver-palladium-platinum-glass frit terminations. True to its size, this only weighs around 286 to 323 mg.
